GRANULATION : The art of an ancient jewelry making technique

A metalwork process that takes its name from the manner of joining small, usually round balls or granule to a base. Normally the base is sheet metal, but the same process can be used to join granule to granule, granule to wire, wire to wire, chip to sheet, wire to sheet, and any other combinations of these, at their point or surface of contact. The means by which this is accomplished is by a fusion welding bond.
